About The Role We are seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our company’s financial records. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise with QuickBooks Online (QBO), ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and compliant with company policies. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, and prepare essential financial reports that track business performance. The position offers flexibility to be full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and preference. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This onsite position is based in Franklin, Tennessee, with no travel requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, specifically with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • QuickBooks certification(s) is a plus
  • Strong accounting skills including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
  • Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with the CFO and team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the company’s financial records accurately and timely
  • Process Accounts Payable (A/P) and vendor payments using QuickBooks Online
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R), billing, and client revenue collections through QBO
  • Process bi-monthly payroll using the Paychex payroll system
  • Reconcile cash accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
  • Reconcile A/P and A/R balances monthly, verifying all transactions are correctly recorded
  • Review financial statements and records to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare financial reports such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Aging Reports, and Cash Flow Statements to monitor business performance
  • Support internal audits and tax preparation activities as needed
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the CFO
