Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated avionics engineering content for technical accuracy, systems-level reasoning, safety compliance, and engineering rigor
  • Review AI-generated analyses, explanations, and technical recommendations related to avionics systems, aircraft electronics, flight controls, cockpit systems, communications, navigation, surveillance, and sensor integration
  • Challenge advanced AI systems with realistic avionics engineering prompts involving flight management systems, autopilot architectures, aircraft data buses, redundancy strategies, certification constraints, and safety-critical system design
  • Analyze AI-generated solutions involving avionics architecture, fault diagnosis, verification workflows, requirements interpretation, system integration, and maintainability considerations
  • Identify technical inaccuracies, unsafe assumptions, missing constraints, ambiguous reasoning, oversimplified explanations, and flawed engineering tradeoffs in avionics-related outputs
  • Review and refine AI-generated prompts, responses, evaluation rubrics, worked examples, and technical explanations to ensure alignment with aerospace and avionics engineering standards
  • Evaluate whether AI outputs properly account for reliability, redundancy, fault tolerance, verification procedures, certification requirements, maintainability, and operational safety considerations
  • Interpret and assess avionics-related engineering artifacts including technical requirements, integration documents, interface definitions, validation procedures, and troubleshooting workflows
  • Compare and rank multiple AI-generated engineering responses based on technical correctness, completeness, clarity, safety awareness, and usefulness to professional avionics engineers
  • Provide structured technical feedback documenting reasoning gaps, unsupported assumptions, incomplete analyses, unclear communication, and potential safety risks in AI-generated avionics content
  • Support benchmarking initiatives by designing, reviewing, validating, and scoring avionics engineering tasks across varying levels of complexity and operational realism
  • Help improve AI communication standards for avionics topics by ensuring outputs demonstrate precision, systems thinking, engineering judgment, and appropriate technical caveats
  • Contribute to AI model improvement through annotation workflows, avionics evaluations, technical QA reviews, response ranking, and structured aerospace engineering documentation processes
  • Help define what strong, safe, and technically rigorous AI performance looks like in avionics, aircraft systems integration, and aerospace engineering environments

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field required; advanced degree or relevant aerospace/avionics certifications preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience as an Avionics Engineer, Aerospace Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer in aviation, or a related aircraft electronics role
  • Strong hands-on experience with avionics system design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, verification, validation, or certification support in aerospace environments
  • Deep understanding of avionics architectures, aircraft communication systems, navigation systems, flight deck systems, flight control interfaces, sensor integration, and safety-critical electronics
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft data buses, redundancy strategies, fault-tolerant system design, reliability engineering, and aerospace systems integration principles
  • Proven experience interpreting technical requirements, reviewing engineering artifacts, identifying design gaps, and making disciplined engineering tradeoffs in safety-critical environments
  • Experience working with avionics verification workflows, certification constraints, validation methodologies, or aerospace compliance processes strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail when evaluating engineering assumptions, system interactions, operational risks, and technical plausibility
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex avionics and aerospace engineering concepts clearly and concisely for technical audiences
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated engineering content for technical correctness, safety implications, reasoning quality, operational realism, and maintainability considerations
  • Previous experience with AI data training, engineering annotation, technical QA, or evaluation of AI-generated technical content strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI systems and tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms preferred
  • Reliable remote work practices, confidentiality handling, and consistency across structured avionics engineering review workflows required
