If you bring deep technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and a passion for aviation excellence, this is your opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of safe, defect-free aircraft.Position Summary As an Avionics/Electrical Technician, you will provide advanced technical expertise in the operational and functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, quality, performance, and on-time delivery.You will also help drive process improvements that reduce cost and schedule impact-without ever compromising safety or quality.Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform operational and functional testing of avionics and aircraft systemsTroubleshoot and repair complex system discrepancies to minimize schedule impactInstall and functionally test electrical and avionics components in accordance with engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manualsRepair or replace defective components and wiring using approved techniques, including splicing, soldering, and pinningSet up and operate required test equipment; conduct functional and operational performance evaluationsOversee and ensure compliance with engineering changes and modificationsMaintain complete and accurate documentation and daily logs for all work performedPre-inspect work prior to formal inspection to reduce rework and inspection timeProvide technical guidance and teach installation and troubleshooting processes when requiredSupport aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as neededEnforce FOD, tool control, 5-S, and all safety regulationsCoordinate with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing production schedulesRequired Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 5 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career fieldTwo years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of required experienceDemonstrated expertise in avionics systems testing and troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagramsStrong working knowledge of wiring repair techniques and industry standardsPreferred Qualifications A&P LicenseFCC LicenseNCATT CertificationExperience troubleshooting other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental systems, or structural installations and repairsAPU run qualificationEngine run qualificationSelf-inspection capability for avionics testing functionsWhy Join PDS Tech Commercial?At PDS Tech Commercial, you’re not just filling a role-you’re advancing your career with purpose.
