Associate Gas Scheduler
Summary: Perform daily gas scheduling functions for various pipeline and plant assets in our regions of operation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Work closely with shippers, Gas Control, Operations, Accounting, Marketing and Commercial groups as needed to facilitate fluid flow of daily/monthly business
- Manage shipper and OBA imbalances on a daily basis
- Provide Accounting with pipe support and Scheduling generated spreadsheets by EOM close deadlines for invoicing
- Assist shippers, Gas Control and Operations in regard to volume management in working thru plant and pipeline upsets and periods of maintenance
- Provide analytical support to various departments as requested in efforts to optimize our plant and pipeline assets
- Monitor downstream pipe EBBs for the issuance of OFOs and communicate those to Gas Control and shippers
- Ensure that all scheduled volumes are within measurement and operational capacities

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required
- Must possess strong planning and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with the EBBs of major interstate and intrastate pipelines as it relates to scheduling and confirming gas preferred.
- Familiarity with gathering and processing of natural gas business
- On-call availability for assigned assets
Required Experience Is Commensurate With The Selected Job Level:
- The Associate Gas Scheduler requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of directly related experience in either natural gas scheduling or other natural gas business activities.
- The Gas Scheduler level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of directly related experience in either natural gas scheduling or other natural gas business activities
- The Senior Gas Scheduler level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of directly related experience in either natural gas scheduling or other natural gas business activities
Software Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
