Assistant Manager – Channel Marketing, Star Pravah
Job Summary:
This is a critical role in the marketing team of Star Pravah that will contribute to the overall growth of the channel. This role will be responsible for managing on- air, PR, digital and all other media roll-out of campaigns for new launches. It will also involve overlooking the marketing and overall health of some sustenance shows.

This team implements marketing interventions to increase brand awareness, drive sampling and improve viewership of content on our channels.

Key Responsibilities
- Build viewership through reach expansion and engagement:
- Ensure maximum number of viewers come to watch the channel and at higher frequency
- Work closely with programming and communication team for the same
- Translate brand/ show strategy into marketing plans & communication to successfully invite viewers to the channel/show
- Strategize, execute, monitor and report marketing campaigns and assess against key goals
- Work closely with research team – qualitative and quantitative to build consumer learnings in Marketing initiatives
- Keep track of market trends, evolving consumers, competitors’ activities to identify opportunities for the channel
- Efficient budget management to achieve maximum impact
- Work closely with internal and external teams for marketing initiatives
- Key collaborations (Internal): Programming team, Communication team, Consumer Insights team, Media planning team, Central teams, Social Listening, Legal team, Sales team, distribution team
- Key collaborations (External): Media, Digital, On ground, PR, Research, Advertising agencies
- Provide thought leadership and perspective wherever appropriate
- Evaluate emerging technologies / platforms for best fit ideas
- Keen eye on the overall business and step up wherever required to build viewership and revenue for the business
Skills & Attributes for success:
- Passion for knowing the consumer (his/ her behavior, desires, pains and aspirations) and ability to transform a consumer insight and knowledge of a show to marketing brief
- Has worked on 360-degree marketing plans (TV, Print, Radio, Digital, on ground, PR) with keen interest in tying the larger marketing thought to individual ideas
- Keen Interest in General entertainment category – stories and characters across fiction shows, talent shows, events, etc.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree in marketing
- 5 years of experience in the space of Marketing/Brand/ Communications/Consumer Insights/Advertising
- Proficiency in Marathi Language
