Top Stack is seeking an AR Analyst to join a client in the Waldorf, MD area on a long term contract basis. This is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days in office.
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing customer accounts to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices. This role supports cash flow optimization, minimizes credit risk, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues.

Key Responsibilities Monitor, analyze, and manage customer accounts receivable balancesPrepare and review AR aging reports and identify overdue accountsEnsure timely invoicing and accurate application of customer paymentsInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, and disputesCommunicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment statusReconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledgerAnalyze trends in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and recommend improvementsSupport month-end and year-end closing activitiesAssist with audits by providing required AR documentationCollaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to improve collections

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or finance operationsStrong understanding of accounting principles and AR processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
