Job Description

Canmore Capital is looking for a driven and ambitious Analyst – Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the financial advisory industry with a focus on infrastructure, strategic capital, and emerging markets. The intern will provide essential support to the advisory team on a variety of projects, gaining exposure to all stages of the advisory process. Experience with U.S. federal funders, multilateral development banks, or export credit agencies are a plus.

The location of the position is Washington, DC (hybrid).

The position is hourly with options for part-time or full-time. Minimum weekly hours are 20.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the advisory team with financial analysis, including company and industry research.
  • Support the creation of financial models and valuation exercises.
  • Help prepare and organize client-related materials.
  • Contribute to the drafting of presentations and other documents.
  • Perform market research to identify potential clients and industry trends in emerging markets.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; or currently pursuing a Masters degree in finance, business, economics.
  • An interest in financial advisory, capital markets, strategic capital, and infrastructure is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability of utilizing AI to improve efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work effectively in a team environment.
