AI Operations Associate

The role : Build the AI infrastructure that lets Clove operate as a 100-office dental rollup with a lean team. You’ll move us beyond ad-hoc Perplexity / ChatGPT queries into persistent agents, workflows, and pipelines embedded into every function — Corp Dev pipeline, recruiting outreach, scheduling optimization, marketing creative, RCM denial analysis, clinical chart audits.

You will own:

  • Clove OS development : a unified internal AI infrastructure layer — prompt libraries, agent frameworks, data pipelines, vector store, evaluation harness — that every function deploys from
  • Functional agent buildout : deploy AI agents that augment specific roles across the company:
  • Corp Dev : automated target market scans, broker outreach drafting, LOI templating, post-meeting summary memos, Zoho enrichment
  • Recruiting : candidate sourcing automation, screening pre-reads, interview scheduling, market hourly-rate analysis
  • Marketing : paid ad creative generation, landing page variants, local SEO content at scale, review response automation
  • Scheduling : production-forecasted staffing models, AI-flagged scheduling conflicts
  • RCM : claim denial pattern analysis, EOB rejection categorization, AR aging insights
  • Clinical : Pearl.AI integration deepening, chart audit batching, treatment plan accuracy flags
  • Data infrastructure : build the pipelines that move data between Open Dental, Zoho, Greenhouse/ATS, GMB, payroll, and the agent layer
  • Evaluation and observability : track agent performance, hallucination rates, accuracy benchmarks per workflow; iterate before scaling
  • Vendor evaluation and integration : ongoing assessment of new AI tools (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, specialized vertical tools) and integration when they outperform the in-house build
  • Internal enablement : train each function on how to use the agents and tools you build; document workflows

You will partner on (not own):

  • Strategic AI direction
  • Functional priorities (each function lead owns what they want automated; you build)
  • Compliance and HIPAA review

KPIs (first 12 months):

  • 20+ production agents deployed , each saving the function ≥10 hours/week of work
  • 3x productivity gain on at least 2 specific workflows (measured pre/post)
  • Recruiting outreach volume : 2-3x via agent automation without quality drop
  • Corp Dev pipeline enrichment : 100% of qualified targets have AI-generated market context attached
  • Internal Clove OS adoption : every function lead is using at least 2 of your agents weekly by month 6
  • Cost of AI tooling : rationalized — fewer point tools, more leveraged in-house infrastructure

Profile:

  • 2-4 years of technical experience or real world vibecoding
  • Python proficiency; hands-on building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom)
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n) and API integrations
  • Comfortable with SQL, basic data engineering, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector)
  • Has shipped at least one production AI workflow used by non-technical users at a prior company
  • Business-fluent: can sit with a recruiter or M&A analyst, understand their workflow, and ship a useful tool within 1-2 weeks
  • AI-fluent on current frontier tools (Claude, GPT-4/5, Gemini) — not just an “AI enthusiast”
  • LA-based; no visa sponsorship
