Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated aerodynamics explanations, calculations, engineering assumptions, and technical recommendations for correctness, clarity, physical accuracy, and engineering rigor
  • Review AI-generated solutions involving fluid mechanics, external aerodynamics, compressible flow, turbulence, aerodynamic scaling, lift and drag analysis, and aircraft performance
  • Analyze aerodynamic reasoning related to CFD simulations, wind tunnel testing, boundary layer behavior, aerodynamic optimization, and flight vehicle performance assessment
  • Challenge AI systems with realistic aerospace engineering prompts involving airfoil design, wing optimization, aerodynamic tradeoffs, simulation interpretation, and experimental validation
  • Identify technical inaccuracies, unsafe assumptions, hallucinations, convergence issues, turbulence-model limitations, and flawed engineering logic in AI-generated outputs
  • Review and refine AI-generated prompts, worked examples, aerodynamic analyses, and technical explanations to ensure alignment with sound aerospace engineering principles
  • Evaluate CFD-related workflows including meshing strategies, turbulence-model selection, numerical convergence behavior, validation approaches, and simulation limitations
  • Compare and rank multiple AI-generated engineering responses based on technical quality, reasoning depth, completeness, correctness, and practical engineering usefulness
  • Provide structured technical feedback documenting reasoning gaps, terminology misuse, incorrect assumptions, incomplete analyses, and misleading engineering conclusions
  • Support benchmarking initiatives by designing, reviewing, and validating aerodynamics tasks that measure AI performance on real-world aerospace engineering reasoning
  • Help improve AI communication standards for technical aerospace content by ensuring explanations are accurate, appropriately scoped, and professionally structured
  • Contribute to AI model improvement through annotation workflows, engineering evaluations, technical QA reviews, response ranking, and structured documentation processes

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related technical field required; Master s degree or PhD strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an Aerodynamics Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, CFD Engineer, or related aerospace engineering specialist
  • Strong hands-on experience with aerodynamic analysis, CFD simulation workflows, wind tunnel testing, aircraft performance evaluation, aerodynamic optimization, or airfoil/wing design
  • Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, compressible flow, turbulence, boundary layer theory, lift and drag generation, aerodynamic scaling laws, and external aerodynamics
  • Strong knowledge of CFD methodologies including meshing strategies, turbulence models, numerical convergence, validation techniques, and simulation limitations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret aerodynamic data, assess engineering tradeoffs, and communicate technical findings clearly to engineering or research teams
  • Experience performing aerodynamic design reviews, technical documentation, test planning, validation analysis, or applied aerospace engineering problem-solving
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail when evaluating engineering assumptions, simulation quality, physical plausibility, and technical consistency
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex aerospace engineering concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated engineering content for technical correctness, practical applicability, and reasoning quality
  • Previous experience with AI data training, technical annotation, engineering QA, or evaluation of AI-generated technical content strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI systems and tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms preferred
  • Reliable remote work practices, confidentiality handling, and consistency across structured engineering-review workflows required
