Job Overview This role is responsible for cultivating and expanding strategic relationships with global commercial or corporate customers and strategic fleet management companies, driving new business opportunities, and managing key account partnerships under International Framework Agreements (IFA). The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in fleet sales with an automotive manufacturer or fleet management company and possess a robust network of industry contacts. This is a field-based position requiring extensive travel, both domestically and internationally, to engage with customers and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for multinational fleet clients, ensuring seamless communication and long-term partnership development under global framework agreements.
- Forge a strong, collaborative partnership with Business Development Managers by aligning on account strategies, exchanging actionable market intelligence, and co-developing innovative approaches to capture new opportunities.
- Facilitate ongoing collaboration between US-based teams and Mercedes-Benz headquarters, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives and customer feedback.
- Assess and interpret complex fleet requirements for international customers, tailoring solutions that address diverse operational, regulatory, and cultural needs.
- Orchestrate cross-border contract negotiations, leveraging specialized CRM tools and collaborating with legal and compliance teams to finalize agreements that support both local and global objectives.
- Champion the adaptation and rollout of sales strategies within the US market, integrating global best practices and local market intelligence.
- Map and analyze international fleet portfolios, identifying growth opportunities among existing IFA customers and proactively targeting new global prospects, such as Forbes 500 companies.
- Curate and host bespoke fleet events designed to showcase Mercedes-Benz’s value proposition to international decision-makers and fleet management partners.
- Conduct regular meetings and site visits with key accounts, prospects, and strategic partners—traveling at least 25 times per quarter to strengthen relationships and gain direct insights into client needs and market conditions.
- Provide executive-level reporting on sales activities, market trends, and customer insights, utilizing advanced CRM analytics to inform leadership and guide future strategy.
- Represent Mercedes-Benz at international industry forums, trade shows, and networking events, actively seeking out new business alliances and staying ahead of emerging trends.
- Monitor and evaluate performance against revenue and growth targets, implementing corrective actions and innovative approaches to ensure sustained success in a competitive global landscape.
- Advocate for continuous improvement by integrating customer feedback, market developments, and technological advancements into the IKAM approach.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrate 5 years of experience managing key accounts, preferably with an automotive manufacturer or fleet management company.
- Proven success in developing strategic relationships and driving business growth with multinational clients.
- Extensive network of contacts across global fleet and mobility sectors, with the ability to leverage relationships for new business opportunities.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and managing complex negotiations within the international automotive fleet industry.
- Skilled in verbal communication, adept at tailoring messaging to varied audiences, facilitating impactful conversations, and resolving conflicts constructively — supported by strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based role with extensive travel requirements.
