Position Summary
This position involves working in a team environment as a Commercial Account Executive on a diverse and growing commercial insurance book of business. You will be working with Masters’ principals, Account Managers, Insurance Underwriters and Masters’ clients, servicing and marketing existing and new business accounts. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, remain flexible to changing job priorities, and strive to create exceptional service experiences.
The book of business handled within the unit consists of projects in development and course of construction — from tendering / proposal stages to binding, and maintenance until completion. The mix of projects include hi-rise residential projects (predominately), as well as commercial, industrial, institutional and custom homes.

Key Accountabilities
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
- Work efficiently with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and EPIC.
- Create and update Project Insurance Summaries for quotations and proposals.
- Prepare and maintain quote comparisons.
- Request and assemble required underwriting documents for new business and renewals.
- Request, review, and process policy endorsements, renewal documents, and cancellations, including invoicing.
- Manage abeyances and follow up with underwriters and clients for outstanding information, documentation, or policy extensions.
- Review insurance requirements in contracts and issue corresponding Certificates of Insurance.
- Review and prepare Tender Prequalification packages and Tender Quotes.
- Collaborate and negotiate with Insurance Underwriters, providing required information and responding to inquiries from clients.
- Work closely with Account Managers, supporting them in managing their book of business.
- Facilitate and assist with project insurance extensions.
- Navigate lender insurance requirements and respond to risk consultant requests as needed, ensuring compliance for project financing.
- Arrange premium financing for clients electing to finance their insurance premiums.
- Prepare weekly reporting on team updates and project tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RIBO License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Post‑secondary education completed.
Assets
- CIP and/or CAIB designation (completed or in progress).
- Working knowledge or understanding of construction insurance and commercial lines products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to problem‑solve independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
