With a rich history of educational excellence, ACC embraces a culture that values diversity, individualized support, and unwavering commitment to student success, without exception.Job Summary The Academic Support Coordinator supports students enrolled in Elevate at ACC by coordinating all aspects of their academic assistance, including modifying coursework, facilitating tutoring, providing one-on-one and small-group study support, and offering in-class help when needed. This role also fosters students’ soft-skill development-such as organization, time management, communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy-while promoting retention, independence, and inclusive engagement from onboarding through graduation.Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate academic support services, including modified coursework, tutoring, and structured study hall support.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty to maintain academic rigor and ensure ongoing communication regarding student needs.
  • Provide in-class support and guide students in accessing campus resources and developing essential life and classroom skills.
  • Deliver outreach and training to faculty and staff through meetings and professional development.
  • Monitor and report student progress through monthly progress reports.

This is a grant funded position through December 31, 2026. Continuation of employment is contingent upon continued funding.Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with people with disabilities in an educational setting.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication, organization, and critical thinking skills required.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive learning & work environment and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in an inclusive higher education program.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary setting.
