Oracle Database Specialist
Requirements
Must have:
We require candidates to possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. You should have at least five years of hands-on experience as a production database administrator, particularly with Oracle databases.
Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will deliver technical proficiency in database design, development, implementation, storage, retrieval, data flow, and analysis. Key tasks include, but are not limited to: – Providing database administration support for various database products, including Oracle and SQL Server, within a Linux environment. – Conducting disaster recovery operations, performance assessments, tuning, index upkeep, and data monitoring. – Creating policies and procedures to maintain the security and integrity of the databases. – Executing database and software life-cycle activities to optimize system performance and availability. – Assessing requirements and suggesting suitable Database Management System (DBMS) products. – Assisting with data modeling efforts by implementing prototype databases.
Company:
Candidates must possess a current and active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph. Additionally, physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time, and the frequent operation of office productivity machinery, such as computers, calculators, copiers, and printers. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role involves regular interaction with colleagues, management, and clients, which may include delivering presentations.
