Travel Surgery Scrub Technologist – Wausau, WI
13 Weeks | Up to $2,550/Week
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Surgery Scrub Technologist for an exciting 13-week contract in Wausau, Wisconsin. This is a high-acuity assignment requiring advanced skills and a proven background in trauma and robotic surgery.

Position Details:

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Variable day shifts
  • On Call/Call Back: 6–8 weeknights of call plus 1–2 weekends during the contract (30-minute response time required)
  • Weekend/Holiday: Weekend call only; holiday rotation included
  • Charting: Epic EMR

Job Responsibilities:

  • Scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including trauma and robotic-assisted surgeries
  • Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety
  • Demonstrate expertise in trauma level 2 surgical cases
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to on-call situations within a 30-minute window

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program (REQUIRED)
  • CST certification highly preferred
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Knowledge of surgical standards and practices acquired through program graduation and 4 years of operating room experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 years of surgical technologist experience (REQUIRED)
  • Prior travel assignment experience (REQUIRED)
  • Trauma Level II experience (REQUIRED)
  • Scrub experience with Da Vinci Robotics (REQUIRED)
  • Must have personal vehicle (rideshare not permitted due to call requirements)
