Electrical & Electronic Equipment Assembler
Duties Include: Job Summary Responsible for assembling electrical equipment. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.Primary responsibilities
- Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic devices
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports
- Review work activities with supervisors.
- Inspect wiring installations, assemblies and circuits.
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems and install components, wiring and subassemblies on circuit boards by manual soldering or solder-flow machine.
- Adjust or repair electrical equipment.
- Correct defects. Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment.
- Build products such as electronic control devices, and other equipment.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
- Test functional performance.
- Tag/label components.
Job Requirements:
- Has assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related field —
- Prior experience with manual soldering of circuit boards
- Motivated and detail oriented
- Attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity
Possesses good communication skills and a great attitudePosition will require prolonged periods of sitting at a workbench with repetitive movements.Physical lifting up to 35 lbs. may be required.
