Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Kitchen Manager for a Middle Eastern restaurant in Dearborn, MI. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory, scheduling, labor and food cost management, and team leadership. You’ll manage a team of 12 (kitchen, prep, expo) and play a key role in improving processes and setting up the kitchen for scalable success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and staff schedules

  • Oversee inventory, food and labor cost reporting

  • Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff

  • Implement process improvements and operational standards

  • Transition communication tools (currently using WhatsApp) to more formal systems

  • Utilize POS system (Toast) for kitchen operations

Salary: $70-$80k

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing kitchens

  • Strong leadership and process improvement skills

  • Ability to build and implement foundational kitchen systems

  • ServSafe certification

  • Experience with Toast POS

  • Comfortable taking initiative and driving operational improvements – Experience with Middle Eastern cuisine

  • Arabic language skills
