Job Title: Oracle HCM Payroll Techno-Functional Analyst (Mid Level)

Location: 100% Remote

Visa: EAD

About the Role: We’re hiring a Senior Payroll Systems Analyst to support Corporate Payroll by ensuring Oracle Cloud HCM (Payroll + Oracle Time & Labor) runs flawlessly for time & labor calculations, periodic payrolls, and tax reporting. You’ll partner with Payroll, Payroll Tax, Accounting, HRIT/IT, and external providers to collect requirements (BRD), design solutions, fix defects, implement enhancements, test (Unit/UAT), and manage change control. The ideal candidate blends hands-on payroll operations (able to run and reconcile payroll) with strong functional/technical skills in Oracle Cloud HCM and OTL.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and support payroll cycles end-to-end (pre-calc validations, calc, costing, post-calc audits, reconciliation, GL posting, and confirmations) while supporting payroll administrators during cutoffs.
  • Manage Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) configurations and payroll element design from development testing migration.
  • Translate current-state earnings elements to new time-card-driven payroll elements; add input values, processing rules, and balances.
  • Review and validate HCM Data Loader (HDL) files for elements, costing, and related objects; remediate and re-test defects.
  • Create test scripts/scenarios for each payroll element and impacted payroll processes; conduct UAT and document results.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD); produce functional specs, solution designs, and migration documents; follow change control.
  • Collaborate with Payroll Systems, HRIT, Technology, and external vendors/MSPs to ensure accurate, compliant setups and integrations.
  • Support interfaces and reporting (e.g., HCM Extracts/BI Publisher/OTBI) and coordinate with Accounting on GL costing and reconciliations.
  • Lead/assist projects such as acquisition integrations, benefits initiatives, system upgrades, and year-end (W-2, amendments).
  • Track deliverables and status using Smartsheet and SharePoint.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 5+ years hands-on Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll & OTL.
  • Proven expertise in complex payroll and timekeeping; working knowledge of benefits, compensation, payroll tax, accounting, and general auditing.
  • Strong Oracle Payroll functional/technical skills: elements, balances, costing, fast formulas (payroll/time), time calculation rules, absence/time integration, and HDL.
  • Experience performing security & design reviews and evaluating changes/projects for compliance with DOL/tax and company policy.
  • Proficient with SQL (data analysis, troubleshooting) and comfortable with defect triage and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills; able to translate technical concepts for payroll administrators and business leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
