About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Analyst to join our Client Data Science team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering custom reports and data solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. Your expertise will help translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for data accuracy, a curiosity for continuous learning, and a proven track record of leading data-driven projects in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients to understand requirements, develop innovative analytical solutions, and communicate findings effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the media industry by leveraging advanced data science techniques and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or social science discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred
- At least 5+ years of coding experience in R, Python, or SQL
- Advanced proficiency in R, Python, or SQL
- 4+ years of experience in project leadership and team management
- Deep technical knowledge of analytics, statistics, and business intelligence software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Strong soft skills including critical thinking, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a mentor mentality
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on complex data problems, independently and as part of a team, by developing and optimizing scripts in R, Python, or SQL for effective data processing
- Adapt existing analytical tools and methodologies to meet evolving client and project needs
- Balance multiple projects by prioritizing tasks and leveraging machine learning and statistical techniques to inform data-driven decisions
- Collect, aggregate, and manipulate data from diverse sources, applying analytical techniques to derive actionable insights
- Create clear visualizations and comprehensive reports to communicate findings effectively
- Engage with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements, address challenges, and develop tailored solutions
- Document project progress, updates, and technical details using tools like JIRA
- Present complex data insights in a clear, accessible manner through written reports and presentations
- Participate actively in team discussions, fostering collaboration and innovative problem-solving
