Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer

Duration: W2 Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and DAX, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights for business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

  • Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

  • Create and optimize data models, measures, and calculations using DAX and Power Query (M).

  • Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources (SQL Server, Azure, Excel, APIs, etc.).

  • Ensure report performance optimization, scalability, and data accuracy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business users.

  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices.

  • Support Power BI service administration, including workspaces, gateways, and user access.

  • Mentor junior developers and provide best practices in BI solution development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 14+ years of IT experience with at least 9+ years in Power BI development.

  • Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data modeling.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

  • Hands-on experience in Power BI Service, workspace management, and gateway configuration.

  • Knowledge of ETL concepts and integration with tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse.

  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and BI best practices.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, ADF) or other cloud data platforms.

  • Knowledge of Python/R for advanced analytics integration.

  • Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent.
