Position Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities:-
- Design, deploy and configure functional networks (LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Wi-Fi).
- Design, deploy and configure security devices (Firewalls/IPS/VPN).
- Manage NAC/ISE/ACS services and policies.
- Configure and install switches, servers, routers, and other network devices, perform upgrades when needed.
- Maintain patch configuration information for the devices. The timelines for the applicable patch rollout would depend on the severity levels defined by the OEM or product vendor.
- Monitor network performance and integrity.
- Respond to incidents to diagnose and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
- Write RCA and participate in customers meetings to explain root cause and solution.
- Analyze recurrent tickets and find solutions to reduce the occurrence of the same issues.
- View and analyze all the system and application logs.
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
- Mentor more junior team members on technical issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders and end users as needed.
- Maintain complete technical documentation to include network drawings, technical processes and instructions.
- Help analyze the Network reporting and suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
Required:-
- Industry-related experience 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Experience/skills in the following areas: Cisco Switching, Cisco ISE, Meraki, HP Aruba, Cato Networks, Fortinet, SDWAN, F5, Palo Alto and ExtraHop.
- Experience working with these tools/systems: Solar Winds, OpenGear, GigaMon, Packet Capture, Big Panda, Rubrik, Cherwell ITSM.
- Strong knowledge and experience in routing and switching technologies.
- Experience in supporting Active Directory, DNS environments.
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP, CCNA).
- Strong working knowledge of Network Management Systems and Platforms (Manage Engine, Site24x7).
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
- Solid background in network administration and architecture.
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl).
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
- Sharp troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication ability to explain procedures to all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems within the defined SLAs.
- Organisational and mentoring skills.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms and technologies such as Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Hybrid cloud are essential.
