Requirements


Must have:

– We require a bachelors degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution. – We require 10+ years of engineering experience. – We require 5+ years of experience working on mission systems. – We require an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, with U.S. citizenship required. – We require the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. – We require the candidate to meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person. – We do not sponsor employment-based visa status for this role. – We require a strong background in systems engineering, technical integration, and program-level coordination. – We prefer experience with fighter aircraft. – We prefer experience working with government customers.

Responsibilities:


  • We integrate across teams to drive engineering excellence throughout F/A-18 development work. – We lead technical integration for software development and advanced systems activities. – We ensure safety, technical rigor, and product integrity while following Boeing and program procedures. – We apply a disciplined systems engineering approach, including requirements management and end-to-end traceability. – We manage the configuration of the integrated system and clarify interdependencies. – We oversee certification and verification efforts to support high-quality delivery. – We build and maintain effective working relationships with the U.S. Navy, engineering groups, and program leadership. – We manage the technical baseline, including mission systems configuration, technical performance measures, architecture diagrams, and RIO assessments. – We identify and resolve emerging technical issues quickly, escalating concerns when needed. – We investigate System Anomaly Reports with Mission Systems to help ensure deliverables meet quality expectations. – We work closely with technical specialists and teammates to support innovation, program goals, and customer confidence. – We ensure development estimates reflect the proper scope and complexity. – We may travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% based on business needs.

This Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) role sits on our F/A-18 Systems Engineering Integration and Test team in Berkeley, Missouri, supporting technical integration for software development and advanced systems efforts.
