Description Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant Bookkeeper NHC HealthCare Johnson City is looking for a AP/Payroll Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team!

Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities Include

  • Code all invoices and ensure proper approval is received prior to payment.

  • Process payables weekly for check run.

  • Handle funds in patient trust account, including petty cash disbursements to patients and balancing patient trust at month end.

  • Communicating with vendors and employees

  • Accurate and timely preparation of month end books for submission to home office

  • Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for 100+ employees.

  • Serve as benefit specialist for 100+employees.

  • Coordinate annual open enrollment of benefits for all new employess

Qualifications Proven bookkeeping experience

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills and a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well organized team player
