About The Role As a Data Analyst at USFS, you will play a vital role in supporting federal agencies by transforming complex data into actionable insights. This position involves developing dashboards, reports, and analytical models using industry-standard tools such as Tableau and Power BI. You will be responsible for analyzing data sets, supporting cost modeling, and assisting in strategic initiatives like the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process. Your expertise will contribute to business process improvements, operational support, and the successful execution of various government projects. Multiple openings are available, ranging from junior to senior levels, allowing for growth and development within a dynamic team environment. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferred)
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics or related fields
  • Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizations
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and modeling
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and across departments
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain DoD National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
  • DoD Secret Clearance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI to support decision-making processes
  • Provide analytical support through data modeling, strategic metrics, and insights for various federal agencies
  • Assist in cost modeling and perform cost-benefit analyses for multiple projects
  • Support the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process by delivering data-driven recommendations
  • Analyze and improve business processes utilizing data analytics techniques
  • Provide analytical strategy and support for Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) initiatives
  • Manage records data, including FOIA declassification and records scheduling compliance
  • Generate monthly reports on training activities, including supervisory training for military and civilian personnel
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed to meet project objectives
