Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Employment Type: W2 Only

Duration: 12+ Months

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, driving data-driven decision-making and process improvements across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology teams.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
  • Analyze healthcare and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of solutions that improve operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Create and maintain process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, SOX).
  • Work closely with data teams to support reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
  • Assist in UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, claims processing, EMR/EHR systems, and payer-provider models.
  • Solid grasp of financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA , HITECH , SOX , and GDPR.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CBAP , PMI-PBA , or CSPO.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA , Confluence , and Visio.
  • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
