Must have:

### – A minimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a software engineering field. – At least 5 years of experience with the Agile software development lifecycle. – Familiarity with Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) or safety-critical software development. – Experience in integrating large-scale software systems. – A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution is preferred. – Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. – Knowledge of program management best practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM). – Experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBE), formal software testing, software requirement development, and embedded/real-time operating systems. – Experience collaborating with system/subsystem engineers and external software suppliers.

Responsibilities:


  • I will manage software engineers throughout the software development life-cycle. – I will oversee the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of Vehicle Management System (VMS) software to meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, and certification standards. – I will ensure the completion of VMS software infrastructure milestones while identifying risks, issues, and opportunities that could impact the project scope. – Utilizing Earned Value Management best practices, I will conduct budget analysis and act as the Cost Account Manager (CAM). – I will focus on developing the skills and abilities of team members to prepare them for current and future responsibilities. – I will cultivate relationships and partnerships with peers, business partners, customers, and other stakeholders. – Taking a collaborative approach, I will develop and execute project plans, implement policies, and manage roadmaps. – I will acquire necessary resources for projects and provide oversight of technical approaches to align with our organizational strategy. – I will demonstrate commitment to our mission and motivate the team to achieve shared goals. – I will promote effective teamwork dynamics to elevate performance levels. – I will seek innovative solutions and opportunities by looking beyond conventional practices. ###
