Vice President, PR & Communications

We’re hiring a founding VP to build and lead the PR & Communications practice at Collateral Partners, a strategic communications platform serving 400 investment firms, asset managers, and financial institutions.

This is not a role for someone looking to manage a steady-state team inside a legacy agency. This is a seat for someone who wants to define what a world-class financial communications practice looks like, and then build it.

The Role

You’ll own the PR & Communications vertical end to end: senior client counsel, media strategy, narrative architecture, team development, and practice growth. You’ll advise GPs, CIOs, Founders, and Partners directly on the moments that matter most: capital raises, M&A, leadership transitions, fund launches, and reputation events.

What We’re Looking For

• 6 years in financial communications, PR, or investor relations, majority in financial services
• Senior agency or in-house background (Brunswick, Joele Frank, Sard Verbinnen, Prosek, FGS Global, Kekst, or comparable)
• Direct relationships with financial press: WSJ, Bloomberg, FT, Institutional Investor, PEI, Buyouts
• Proven executive counsel experience at the GP/CIO/Founder level
• Finance fluency. You can read a fund deck and find the narrative immediately.
• A builder. You see what’s missing and you create it.

What You’ll Build

The playbooks, media frameworks, and team that become Collateral’s standard for financial communications excellence, operating inside a fully integrated platform alongside Transaction Readiness, Research & IR, Go-to-Market, and Digital & Multimedia.
