Operations Manager
About Our Client
Our client is transforming parking real estate by replacing outdated systems with a unified, data-driven platform that manages payments, pricing, enforcement, and analytics. Its in-house technology boosts property revenue by 20–50%, gives owners real-time visibility, and delivers a seamless driver experience.
Focused on the $131B U.S. parking market, the company uses data from occupancy, events, and driver behavior to optimize assets and bring offline real estate online. It is backed by top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund.
About The Role
Our client seeks a West Regional Operations Manager to oversee facility performance, revenue optimization, and vendor management. This role blends on-site execution with data-driven strategy, designing processes, solving issues proactively, and leading enforcement efforts.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Partner Success teams to ensure smooth operations, strong results for property owners, and a great customer experience — ultimately driving efficiency, profitability, and regional growth.
What you will do
- Operational Execution
- Enforcement Optimization
- Pricing & Revenue Management
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
What you need
- 3–5+ years of experience in operations (ideally at another startup or company with a similar regional operations model, banking, or consulting).
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Process and systems driven: designs, documents, and enforces SOPs; builds repeatable playbooks; instruments workflows and iterates for quality and speed.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to use data to inform strategy, identify trends, and optimize performance including user-level analysis and segmentation.
- Willingness to travel across the region for site visits and vendor meetings (20%+ Travel).
Why this role may not be for you
Our client wants to be transparent: this role is not a fit for everyone. Being a Regional Operations Manager at a fast-growing startup means you’ll face unique challenges that may not exist in later stage companies. You might want to pass if:
- You prefer a 9-to-5 rhythm. Facilities run 24/7, and while constant availability is not expected, urgent issues sometimes arise outside of standard business hours.
- You want to stay behind a desk. This role requires regular travel and site visits, troubleshooting equipment, or walking properties with vendors.
- You need highly defined processes from day one. Playbooks are still being built. You’ll often be the one creating the process for others to follow.
- You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity. Priorities can shift quickly as the organization scales. You’ll need to adapt, problem-solve, and move forward without perfect information.
- You’re looking for a large team of direct reports. This role is highly hands-on, leaning on third-party vendors and contractors, rather than managing a big staff.
- You prefer doing strategic work only. While strategy is part of the role, you’ll also be rolling up your sleeves on tactical execution daily.
Important Note
Our client is a remote-first company, but it also values in-person collaboration to strengthen trust and teamwork. Team members should expect approximately 6 weeks of travel per year for:
- 2–3 full company offsites, “Remote Weeks”
- Lending a hand to support new location launches
- In-person onboarding as well as supporting other onboarding sessions for new team members
The Upside
