Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives Lead
About Our Client
Our client is a leading healthcare AI firm transforming radiology through innovative, AI-driven solutions that save time, reduce physician burnout, and improve patient outcomes. Founded by a radiologist, it leverages one of the world’s largest proprietary radiology report datasets and has significantly reduced errors and uncovered new cancer diagnoses. With strong backing from top investors and a successful Series C funding round, their generative AI tools are used by thousands of radiologists and support nearly half of all U.S. medical imaging.
Recognized as a top healthcare disruptor and one of North America’s fastest-growing companies, they are seeking mission-driven individuals to join their team and shape the future of healthcare.
Why Join:
Our client is looking for a world-class Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives Lead at a pivotal moment in their growth.
As part of the Office of the CEO, you’ll work directly with executive leadership to drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across product, partnerships, fundraising, and operations. This is a unique opportunity to help shape how the hiring company scales and executes on its mission—at the cutting edge of AI and healthcare.
This role is perfect for a strategic operator and internal fixer—someone who thrives on solving complex, ambiguous problems, building lightweight systems, and pushing priorities over the finish line. You’ll have the opportunity to own company-wide planning, drive clarity across teams, and influence outcomes from the frontline to the C-suite.
You’ll be part of a mission-driven team building cutting-edge AI that meaningfully improves patient care, all within a remote-first culture that values action, ownership, and continuous learning. This role reports directly to the Chief of Staff.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own Strategic Planning & Execution: Own the company-wide OKR process and planning rhythms—including quarterly goal-setting, cross-functional alignment, QBRs, OKR reviews, and leadership check-ins.
- Lead High-Impact Projects: Scope, prioritize, and execute 2-3 concurrent, CEO-sponsored initiatives (e.g., market expansion, partnerships, investor work-streams).
- Act as a Fixer: Identify bottlenecks, untangle cross-functional issues, and implement lightweight processes to keep teams moving efficiently.
- Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with functional leaders to ensure team goals ladder up to company priorities, with clear ownership and accountability.
- Build Simple, Scalable Systems: Create tools, templates, and dashboards that operationalize strategy and make performance visible.
- Support Strategic Deal-Making: Lead complex partnership efforts—structuring deals, aligning internal stakeholders, and driving negotiations to close.
- Communicate with Influence: Craft clear, compelling narratives—from investor memos to exec updates—that drive alignment and action
Who They’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- 5 years of experience in strategic operations, business operations or program management roles at a tech or healthtech company.
- Previous experience at a top-tier management consulting firm.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution, delivering measurable results on tight timelines.
- Deep familiarity with U.S. healthcare—provider, payer, or healthtech—including partnership dynamics, compliance considerations, and stakeholder management.
- Fluency with modern collaboration and planning tools (e.g., Notion, Monday.com, Asana, Miro, Slack); bonus if you’ve integrated OKRs into BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills; able to craft clear, compelling narratives across audiences.
- Comfortable navigating both startup ambiguity and matrixed, enterprise-scale environments.
- High bias for action, strong analytical thinking, and a growth mindset.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI/ML products, data-driven SaaS, or healthcare technology.
- Exposure to healthcare workflows or regulatory-heavy product cycles.
- Background in financial modeling, M&A, or venture investing.
- Prior experience working directly with a CEO, COO, Chief of Staff, or VP of Business Operations on strategic initiatives.
- Experience working in a startup environment with an ambiguous or evolving environment.
