With our network of more than 80 manufacturing facilities and more than 4,000 employees, we’re leading the industry with innovation and a safety-first mindset.from on .Job Summary The Quality Control Inspector performs quality checks on the production floor.Job Responsibilities Monitor production activitiesVerify that procedures are followed in accordance with all specification requirements by establishing a line of communication with production leadsMonitor Production daily activities to ensure that proper batching, placement and curing techniques are being performedClosely monitor all test data to ensure compliance with all specification requirementsNotify the Quality Control Manager of any deviation from those requirementsControl the movement of items from various stages of productionMonitor and mark items as necessary to ensure completion in a controlled and timely mannerBe aware of specific requirements for each job by familiarizing yourself with Quality System Procedure Manuals on a regular basisPerform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast/prestress concrete productsComplete and document all testing records and inspections in a well-organized system and backup all records on the network serverPerform all testing at regularly required intervals (Concrete Testing, Unit weight, moisture, weekly standard checks, D-loads, gradations and dry fits)Maintain a clean and safe work areaOther duties as may be assigned by the Quality Control ManagerTake proactive steps to reduce/eliminate detailing operationsDocument all repairs and identify the causeInitiate maintenance requests and corrective actions as necessaryReport all major defects to the Quality Control Manager as soon as possibleJob Requirements At least 5 years experience in QC and/or concrete testingACI Field Tech I Quality control certification a min. PCI level I, II or III a plusKnowledge of how to read and interpret shop/engineering drawingsMust maintain clear and precise record keepingMust have familiarity and knowledge of Microsoft Office programsWork with the engineering department to ensure drawings and products are consistentGood attendance and positive attitude a mustMust be a team playerMust possess a desire to learnMust be self-motivatedMust be able to work quickly in a fast paced environmentMust be willing to assist in training and perform hands on activities with other employees for learning and training purposesAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Compensation The hourly pay rate is $20-$27/hr.What CRH Offers You
