The Role

• Build, maintain, and evolve a cross-platform design system encompassing React and web components with a focus on developer ergonomics.

• Manage the design token architecture, bridging design and code to ensure visual consistency across all platforms.

• Develop and utilize AI-powered tooling and internal systems to accelerate product development using the design system.

• Create comprehensive documentation, interactive playgrounds, and component showcases to facilitate easy adoption.

• Champion accessibility standards (WCAG) and infrastructure, including automated testing, CI/CD, and release management.

• Collaborate closely with product designers to translate design intent into robust engineering implementations.

What You’ll Need

• Deep expertise in TypeScript and advanced React patterns.

• Experience with, or strong interest in, web components and custom elements.

• Proven ability to think systemically, design for reuse, and anticipate cascading impacts of decisions.

• Familiarity with design token tooling and workflows (e.g., Style Dictionary).

• Strong understanding of WCAG and hands-on experience with accessibility testing.

• Fluency in AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

• A keen eye for visual details, including typography, spacing, color, layout, and motion.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail in software development.
