Position Summary

The Vice President of Operations will serve as the senior leader responsible for building and scaling the company’s operational backbone. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is central to driving the next phase of growth, overseeing the deployment of EVSE infrastructure across North America while designing scalable processes, systems, and vendor strategies to manage a high-volume project pipeline.

This is a mission-critical executive leadership position for an operations and construction leader with extensive experience in infrastructure deployment, EPC and vendor management, and organizational scaling.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Deployment

  • Lead the full lifecycle of EVSE infrastructure deployment across North America.
  • Manage EPC partners, electrical contractors, and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee permitting, interconnection, and relationships with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
  • Scale operations to manage 700 concurrent projects while maintaining quality and speed.

Process & Systems

  • Build and refine scalable workflows and operational systems.
  • Implement project and asset management tools (e.g., SiteTracker) for real-time monitoring and performance tracking.
  • Establish KPI frameworks for deployment efficiency, O&M performance, and charger uptime.
  • Drive standardization and repeatability across project execution.

Procurement & Vendor Strategy

  • Lead procurement of charging hardware, installation services, and O&M vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with EPCs, OEMs, and utilities.
  • Develop and enforce SLAs to ensure vendor accountability and consistent service delivery.

Asset Management & O&M

  • Design a long-term O&M strategy to maximize charger uptime and network reliability.
  • Oversee partnerships for 24/7 monitoring, field maintenance, and operations.
  • Integrate O&M performance metrics into KPI tracking for continuous improvement.

Leadership

  • Lead and grow a high-performing operations team, including senior project managers and functional leaders.
  • Translate company strategy into clear, actionable plans for deployment and operations.
  • Represent operations in board-level and partner discussions, serving as a key voice on organizational growth and execution.

Qualifications

Required

  • 12–20 years of experience in infrastructure deployment, construction management, or operations leadership.
  • Proven track record in EV charging, distributed energy, telecom/fiber, or other capital-intensive infrastructure sectors.
  • Career progression from project management into senior operational leadership.
  • Technical fluency in permitting, utility interconnection, and electrical systems.
  • Strong experience negotiating vendor and EPC agreements and building scalable processes.
  • Executive presence and the ability to operate as a peer to the CEO, board members, and external stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with SiteTracker or similar project/asset management tools.
  • Experience scaling operations in a fast-growth, venture-backed or infrastructure-backed environment.
  • Background in capital-intensive, multi-site infrastructure deployment businesses.
