About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Engineer to join a high-performance Technical Operations Center supporting large-scale, GPU-driven infrastructure environments. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of network and HPC systems across multiple data center locations.

You will act as a Tier 2 escalation point, resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining high availability across mission-critical systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong troubleshooting skills across networking, systems, and infrastructure layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to, triage, and resolve network incidents as part of a 24/7/365 operations team
• Act as Tier 2 support, escalating to Tier 3 or engineering teams when required
• Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and alerting systems
• Troubleshoot issues across network infrastructure, HPC environments, and supporting systems
• Manage and maintain network hardware including switches and firewalls
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements
• Ensure strong network security practices and protection against unauthorized access
• Collaborate with third-party providers for specialized support and issue resolution
• Document incidents, procedures, and operational workflows
• Support installation, repair, and maintenance of infrastructure systems

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network operations, data center environments, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and computer systems
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, A+) preferred
• Experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiSwitch) highly desirable
• Experience with Cisco Nexus or Firepower platforms is a plus
• Previous experience in a NOC, SOC, or similar operational environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant post-secondary education in IT, networking, or related field is an asset
