Duties
- Assist in supervising children during play, learning activities, meals, nap times, and outdoor time to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom management by helping organize materials, set up activity stations, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional growth.
- Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and special needs for tailored support.
- Support inclusive practices by working with children with disabilities or special education needs to ensure they feel included and supported.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to maintain a secure environment for all children.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education is highly valued.
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs enhances your ability to support diverse learners.
- Previous toddler care or infant care experience demonstrates your capability to handle the unique needs of different age groups within the early childhood spectrum.
