About The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in bridging great design with robust technology, ensuring the delivery of lean, sleek, and accessible web experiences. You will be involved in all phases of project development, from concept to implementation, working closely with designers, back-end developers, and project managers. Your creativity, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills will be instrumental in creating responsive, standards-compliant websites that prioritize usability and accessibility. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional development.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in standards-compliant, responsive HTML & CSS
- Experience with vanilla JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React and/or Next.js
- Strong understanding of usability across various devices and major web browsers
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG 2 compliance (minimum AA)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors like SCSS, Sass, Less
- Familiarity with task runners such as Gulp
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite for retrieving specifications and assets
- Good design instincts and attention to detail for design accuracy and consistency
- Samples of work demonstrating your skills (portfolio website, website examples, or GitHub repositories)
- Optional but highly desired: experience with design, version control (Git), package managers (Yarn, npm), build tools (Webpack, Vite), CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore), back-end or full-stack development, data fetching, and external APIs
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, standards-compliant HTML and CSS for web projects
- Implement interactive features using vanilla JavaScript and frameworks like React or Next.js
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across all device types
- Adhere to accessibility standards and WCAG 2 guidelines to ensure inclusive user experiences
- Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional web interfaces
- Utilize CSS preprocessors and task runners to optimize the development workflow
- Work with graphic assets retrieved from Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proactively identify potential issues and suggest solutions early in the development process
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions
- Stay updated on emerging web technologies and best practices to continuously improve skills and project outcomes
