Director of IT Infrastructure
The Senior IT Director is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, and management for the acquisition, implementation, and support of technology across the corporate environment. This role will collaborate with management and stakeholders to align technology with strategic goals and develop effective support processes. It requires both leadership and hands-on technical expertise to ensure a secure and stable environment. Key areas include strategy and planning, solution deployment, and operational management.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Collaborate with IT leadership and partner with the head of IT security to build and implement a security roadmap
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT department in alignment with the SVP of IT’s vision
- Act as a strategic partner to departments, promoting understanding and integration of IT processes
- Lead and mentor the IT team to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support cultural change toward sustainable processes and procedures
IT Operations and Infrastructure
- Manage all aspects of Active Directory across the company, subsidiaries, and hotels, including design and implementation
- Lead corporate network planning and management
- Oversee successful delivery of all corporate IT projects
- Manage IT systems and processes, enforce SOPs, minimize security risks, and ensure high uptime
- Manage processes, procedures, and KPIs related to Managed Service Providers
- Collaborate with the applications team on the design and rollout of new services
- Lead change management for applications and services
- Ensure stability, performance, and security across corporate infrastructure, cloud services, and the M365 environment
- Manage network and phone systems, working closely with vendors and providers
- Oversee hardware lifecycle from acquisition to disposition
- Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensure service quality, and negotiate costs
- Provide solution recommendations to the SVP of IT based on business needs and cost analysis
- Stay current on technology trends, communicate updates to leadership, and plan future roadmaps
- Contribute to daily team priorities, project execution, and system management
Cybersecurity and Risk Management
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Own disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including improvements, SOP development, and testing validation
Day-to-Day Management
- Promote adoption and standardization of corporate systems
- Supervise daily IT team operations
- Oversee IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to control costs and maintain service quality
- Participate in daily operations and systems management
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in IT leadership roles, including team and MSP management
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure such as Active Directory, M365, networks, servers, and cloud services
- Experience managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and conducting performance reviews
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and CISSP are beneficial
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and backup/disaster recovery
- Strong knowledge of networking, including switches and firewalls
- Proficiency in desktop support and management
Interpersonal Skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to engage with C-level executives in a meaningful and strategic way
