About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our remote team at a Series A LegalTech AI startup. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that are transforming the legal industry through the integration of advanced AI technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend solutions, working with modern tech stacks, and contributing to the creation of innovative products used by enterprise clients. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess between 5 to 10 years of experience in backend development or full-stack engineering with a strong focus on backend systems. Experience with Golang is preferred, though candidates with expertise in Python, Java, C, C++, C#, or Rust will also be considered. A genuine interest or prior experience with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, or related AI technologies is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and modern development practices. A track record of working in startup environments or small teams, along with a passion for emerging AI trends, will be advantageous.
Responsibilities As a Backend Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that support our AI-driven legaltech platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and front-end developers to deliver seamless and scalable solutions. Your tasks will involve working with Golang and other programming languages, managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, and utilizing Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration. You will also contribute to implementing secure, efficient, and reliable backend APIs, integrating AI models, and ensuring high system availability and performance. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and stay abreast of industry trends to continually improve our technology stack and development processes.
