About ElectraCast Media LLC

ElectraCast Media LLC is a podcast-first entertainment media company. Our Mission Statement: To create community and amplify diverse voices through compelling entertainment and story.

Internship Overview

ElectraCast is seeking a capable Software Development Intern to help maintain and expand the creator dashboard and supporting systems behind electracast.com. This unpaidinternship is ideal for a student developer or recent graduate who can step into an existing codebase, understand the architecture quickly, and contribute meaningful improvements to a live product.

The current platform includes a React and TypeScript frontend bundled with Vite and embedded in WordPress through a custom PHP plugin. The system also includes custom WordPress REST endpoints, Megaphone API integrations, authentication and subscription logic, media uploads, and AI-assisted support features. We are looking for someone who can confidently continue that work and help evolve the platform.

Benefits include professional development experience and guidance, experience in an entertainment technology company, professional portfolio work and recommendations for future employment.

  • Support podcast creation, episode publishing, uploads, onboarding flows, and creator account management features.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot external platforms and APIs, including podcast hosting services, AI-powered support workflows, and security or payment-related tools.

  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON-based application flows.
  • Familiarity with WordPress development and PHP, or the ability to ramp up quickly in that environment.
  • Comfort reading, debugging, and extending an existing codebase rather than only building projects from scratch.
