About The Role We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions that underpin our suite of healthcare products and services. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of three years of experience in data engineering or similar roles is required. Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Azure Data Factory, and Databricks is essential. Candidates should have a solid track record in developing data integration solutions, ETL processes, and constructing data warehouses. Familiarity with healthcare data standards, governance, and security protocols is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support various analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate on designing system architecture, data flow strategies, and integration points to optimize data operations.
- Partner with business units and technical teams to troubleshoot data issues, enhance data quality, and support ongoing analytics efforts.
- Perform data wrangling tasks, including ingestion, transformation, and cleaning, to enable meaningful analysis and insights.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical plans and implement data-driven solutions accordingly.
- Participate in peer code reviews, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data workflows, architecture, and models for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Create customized reports and visualizations for internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate decision-making.
- Manage and troubleshoot large volumes of data pipelines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Work closely with software engineers to ensure data consistency and integrity within applications and systems.
