About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst specializing in Reporting & Analytics to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial reporting, consolidation, and performance analysis that inform strategic decision-making at the executive level. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Operations, and Revenue Cycle to ensure accurate and timely financial insights. Your analytical expertise will support forecasting, improve reporting processes, and provide clarity on financial performance through detailed narratives and variance analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence high-level business decisions within a private-equity-backed healthcare environment, contributing to the organization’s growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, analytics, or a combined accounting and analysis role.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial performance and insights.
- Experience working in private equity-backed healthcare or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of adjusted EBITDA, covenant reporting, and PE reporting conventions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial automation tools such as LiveFlow, Fathom, or similar platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation and validation of financial results across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Review and prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership review.
- Collaborate with Accounting to validate underlying data prior to reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain monthly adjusted EBITDA calculations, including supporting add-back schedules, and reconcile these figures to GAAP results with thorough documentation.
- Create net income-to-adjusted EBITDA bridges and conduct period-over-period variance analyses to identify drivers of financial performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reporting packages for leadership and the board, including financial statements, KPIs, variance analysis, and narrative explanations.
- Support lender and private equity reporting requirements, including covenant schedules, compliance certificates, and recurring deliverables.
- Partner with the Revenue Cycle team to analyze revenue streams, contractual adjustments, denials, and bad debts, providing net revenue accruals to Accounting monthly.
- Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate closing of financial periods and support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling outlook processes.
- Maintain and update a 13-week cash flow forecast, analyzing working capital movements, debt service obligations, and non-recurring items through cash flow waterfalls.
- Enhance reporting efficiency by developing standardized templates, automating processes, and documenting procedures across reporting functions.
- Utilize tools such as QuickBooks Online and LiveFlow to automate data extraction, consolidation, and management reporting.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving financial analysis, reporting accuracy, and process automation.
