About The Role The Plant Controller position is a vital leadership role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of our manufacturing plant. This hybrid role, after an initial 90-day period, offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a strong presence on-site. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial management within the engineering or manufacturing sectors, with proven experience in implementing ERP systems, managing capital expenditures, and executing cost reduction strategies. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker and effective leader to influence financial outcomes, streamline processes, and contribute to the company’s growth and profitability.

Qualifications The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is considered an advantage. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing industry, is required. Candidates should demonstrate extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly IFS, along with expertise in Capex management, cost accounting, and fixed asset management. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data are essential. Leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Plant Controller will be responsible for a wide range of financial and operational duties, including overseeing all aspects of plant financials such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They will implement and manage ERP systems to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency. Conducting detailed cost accounting and developing strategies to reduce costs will be a core focus, aimed at maximizing profitability. Managing capital expenditures to ensure they align with budget forecasts and deliver expected returns is another key responsibility. The role also involves overseeing fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate record-keeping and depreciation schedules. Developing comprehensive financial reports and presenting them to senior management will aid in strategic decision-making. Additionally, the Plant Controller will collaborate with plant management and corporate finance teams to develop and execute financial strategies while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
