About The Role The Data Analyst position at First National Bank Texas offers an exciting opportunity for entry-level professionals to develop their skills in data analysis within the banking and financial services industry. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, including the President and CEO, to provide data-driven recommendations aimed at optimizing consumer lending production and enhancing overall business performance. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations. This position provides a foundational experience in data management, statistical analysis, and automation processes, making it ideal for individuals aspiring to grow within the financial analytics field.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework or degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or related field preferred.
- Basic proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar software.

Responsibilities Analyze data to extract and define relevant information, interpreting data to assess past performance and project future trends. Provide strategic recommendations to Executive Leadership, including the President and CEO, on various aspects of consumer lending, such as tier modifications, loan-to-value rates, product revisions, new product launches, and promotional strategies. Perform moderately complex statistical analyses of data reported across banking and financial systems, presenting findings related to outreach programs, products, services, and marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with other division and department senior leadership to develop automation solutions, including creating databases and analysis tools that streamline reporting processes. Integrate automation workflows, manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and troubleshoot issues that arise during data cycles to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Establish new or improved reporting methods and procedures to enhance data content and completeness for various business units, facilitating better decision-making.
Develop comprehensive reports for forecasting, trend analysis, and performance measurement. Utilize a variety of software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics tools to assemble, manipulate, and format data and reports effectively. Participate in cross-functional projects as needed, contributing analytical expertise to support organizational initiatives. Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality, adhering to company policies and standards.
