At Jobot, we believe in balancing the rigor of high-profile legal work with a collegial atmosphere that values diversity, respect, and long-term career development.

About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated attorney to join our litigation team, focusing on complex commercial litigation and government investigations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes, bet-the-company disputes in both state and federal courts. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with seasoned trial lawyers, contributing to case strategy, drafting motions, managing discovery, and engaging directly with clients. This position provides a platform for attorneys with 1-6 years of experience, particularly those with federal clerkship experience or prior service as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, to develop their skills in a supportive environment that encourages ownership and long-term growth. The role is ideal for individuals eager to make a tangible impact on significant legal matters without the demands of the NYC legal scene.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess 1-6 years of experience in a leading New York law firm, demonstrating a strong foundation in commercial litigation and government investigations. A federal clerkship is required, or experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney is highly preferred. Candidates should have excellent writing, research, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to think creatively and solve complex problems under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate an interest in client development and a desire to grow their practice within the firm, showing a commitment to professional excellence and long-term contribution to our firm’s success.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse range of legal tasks, including drafting and filing motions, managing discovery processes, and developing case strategies in collaboration with senior partners. You will work directly with clients on high-stakes disputes, providing strategic advice and ensuring effective communication throughout the litigation process. You will also contribute to case preparation for hearings and trials, participate in negotiations, and assist in developing innovative solutions to complex legal issues. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to a positive team culture, and actively engaging in business development efforts to expand the firm’s client base and reputation.

Benefits Jobot offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our attorneys’ well-being and professional growth. Our package includes competitive salary ranges from $125,000 to $225,000 per year, complemented by a discretionary bonus structure tied to performance and billable hours. We provide extensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to ensure health and wellness. Paid parental leave, paid time off, and holiday benefits promote work-life balance. Our 401(k) plan is employer-matched to assist with long-term financial planning. We also offer opportunities for early ownership and the chance to build a personal book of business over time. Our supportive and respectful culture fosters collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and mutual success, making Jobot an ideal environment for ambitious legal professionals.
