Junior Software Engineer

We’re hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission-critical software using modern languages like Java.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within defined parameters.

• Utilize Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git for collaboration and work management.

• Support the creation and updating of all relevant design, development, and testing documentation.

• Identify potential roadblocks and develop effective solutions.

• Plan and estimate development tasks, contributing to performance metric improvements.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree.

• US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance or higher, verifiable during employment.

• Hands-on experience with Java/C++ and object-oriented programming.

• Practical experience with JavaScript and JS frameworks like React.

• Demonstrated understanding of software development process fundamentals.

• A strong, self-motivated desire to learn new technologies and techniques.
