Title : 100% Remote Lead Data Engineer.

Duration : 6+ Months

Location :100% Remote

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Lead a team on the research and implementation of a larger project, which may consist of multiple data models, maps, and workflows.
  • Be the contact for the team and participate in prioritization and execution of work.
  • Serve as SME, understand the data, its usage and meaning.
  • Deliver robust end-to-end integration solutions that follow Data Engineering best practices and leverage test driven development.
  • Translating technical requirements to solutions using code
  • New development of ETL/ELT from any system to any other system
  • Unit testing
  • Data Modeling
  • Lead a team on the research and implementation of a larger project, which may consist of multiple data models, maps, and workflows.
  • Be the contact for the team and participate in prioritization and execution of work.
  • Acting as an SME, understand the data, its usage and meaning.

Job Description

  • Deliver robust end-to-end integration solutions that follow Data Engineering best practices and leverage test driven development.

  • Data Warehousing experience

  • Applying Kimball and Inmon techniques such as DDS (dimensional data stores), ODS, slowly changing dimensions, etc.

  • Data flow from source to target to BI tool

  • Advanced SQL skills – mandatory

  • DDL vs DML

  • how to decompose data to 3NF,

  • how to model relational data

  • ACID transactions

  • Basic performance and security knowledge

  • CAP theorem

  • Java Script – senior level

  • Experience with non-relational/NoSQL data stores

  • Translating technical requirements to solutions using code

  • Senior Snowflake experience

  • Senior experience and skills around Azure Cloud Technologies

  • Data Modeling experience required

  • Data Modeling techniques

  • Slowly changing dimensions

  • Star schemas

  • Data vault
