Soni Resources is seeking a Distinguished Engineer with deep experience in the mortgage and lending industry to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, customer-facing platforms. This is a senior technical leadership role where you will shape engineering strategy, mentor senior engineers, and deliver enterprise-grade solutions that power mission-critical mortgage and lending workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Define and lead technical strategy for large-scale mortgage and lending platforms.
• Architect and deliver enterprise solutions using Java/Spring Boot , React , and AWS cloud-native services.
• Design APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems that support lending workflows, compliance, and integrations.
• Lead cloud architecture (AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, API Gateway) for secure and resilient deployments.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and security requirements specific to financial services.
• Drive engineering excellence with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and coding best practices.
• Mentor and influence engineering teams , elevating architecture, design, and execution across the organization.
• Partner with executives, product, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with mortgage/lending strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of professional software engineering, with direct experience building mortgage and lending platforms .
• Expert in Java, Spring Boot, React, REST API design, and distributed systems .
• Proven track record architecting enterprise-scale financial services applications in regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of mortgage/lending workflows, compliance requirements, and customer-facing applications .
• Strong background in AWS cloud-native architecture and scalable microservices .
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB) databases .
• Skilled at defining technical roadmaps, leading architectural reviews, and setting engineering standards .
• Ability to mentor senior engineers and influence cross-functional leadership .
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
