Job Description

ECS is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to work in our Arlington, VA office.

ECS is looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator for a dynamic and growing team for a DHS component in support of an enterprise engineering and operations program. The purpose of this program is to enhance enterprise services and solutions to this DHS component, as part of an integrated evaluation, integration, strategy, design, implementation, and operational maintenance program.

**This position requires candidates to be on-site 2 days a week in Arlington, VA**

General Duties

• Perform administration activities on AWS such as basic networking, instance creation, AMI development, etc.
• Support hardening of instance images to ensure government security and vulnerability compliance leveraging EC2 Image Builder and Packer.
• Supporting configuration management of instance leveraging Ansible, as well as other scripting and automation functions.

Required Skills

• Ability to successfully maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/DHS Suitability
• At least 3 years of AWS Cloud Administration experience supporting services/efforts such as EC2, Instance Builder, S3, Lambda, Basic VPC Networking
• At least 3 years of Systems Administration experience (e.g. Patching and Configuration Changes on EC2, building/updating hardened AMIs leveraging AWS Instance Builder, etc.)
• Experience with Ansible and writing/testing Ansible Playbooks
• Experience with Packer
• Experience with automation within systems (e.g. Scripting, Installing Packages, Chron Jobs, etc.)

Desired Skills

• Prior DHS experience and possessing a DHS Entry on Duty/DHS Suitability
• Experience as a Cloud Engineer and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform
• Familiarity with Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (FISMA, FIPS, SecOps, etc.)
• Any applicable certification
