Key Account Manager Description

Our client in agricultural equipment manufacturing is looking for a Key Account Manager to add to their team in Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho. You will own relationships with high-volume retail locations, making ~50 store stops monthly to check merchandising, train new associates, reconcile inventory counts, and solve operational issues on the spot. You’ll be the first call for store leaders in receiving, lawn & garden, and power equipment, coordinating deliveries and product setups during peak seasons. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, communicates clearly face-to-face, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving in a retail environment. To succeed, you must self-manage a rolling visit plan, capture crisp visit recaps, and drive market-level improvements with store and internal partners. This role offers high autonomy in a family-owned, no-frills culture with uncapped commission and a long-standing brand sold through national and regional retailers, with ongoing expansion into larger big-box channels.

Key Account Manager Responsibilities

• Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly visits to assigned retail locations

• Serve as the primary escalation point for product, inventory, and operational issues

• Support new product launches, deliveries, and in-store setup activities

• Perform inventory counts and reconcile findings with retailer reports

• Build relationships with store managers, receiving teams, and lawn and garden departments

• Identify and drive operational and merchandising improvements at the market level

• Train retail associates on product knowledge and display execution

• Provide consistent visit reporting, insights, and field feedback to leadership

Key Account Manager Qualifications

• 3+ years of Sales or Account Management experience required

• Farm or outdoor power equipment familiarity required

• Mechanical aptitude required
