About The Role The Recruiting Specialist at Ash Grove Cement is a vital member of the Human Resources team, responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified talent across various levels and locations. This remote position leverages software tools, career websites, and personal networks to identify both active and passive candidates. The role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings to coordinating interviews and onboarding new employees. The Recruiting Specialist collaborates closely with hiring managers and regional leaders to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience. Additionally, the role supports college recruiting initiatives and participates in special projects aimed at enhancing the company’s talent acquisition efforts. This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the Eastern and Central time zones and provides an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to make an impact in a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum 4-year degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in recruiting or a similar HR-related position
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading recruitment for salaried positions across multiple locations
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication
- Strong customer service orientation and active listening skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent time management and priority-setting abilities
- Adherence to safety requirements, company policies, and procedures
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Promote and adhere to all plant safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Consult with hiring partners and regional leaders to identify current and future recruitment needs
- Post and update job openings on the company’s career website and other relevant platforms
- Develop and implement tailored recruiting and interviewing strategies for each open position
- Manage candidates throughout the entire recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System (SuccessFactors)
- Build and maintain networks to source qualified passive candidates through various sourcing tools
- Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR partners to ensure recruitment progress
- Coordinate interview schedules and arrange candidate travel accommodations as needed
- Prepare and distribute Talent Acquisition reports, providing timely updates to stakeholders
- Lead presentations and provide updates on recruitment initiatives to internal teams and management
- Support college recruiting efforts and participate in recruiting events and career fairs
- Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing recruitment processes and strategies
- Manage a high volume of requisitions efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals
