Estimated Duration: 4 months with possible conversion to direct hire.
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. This position is for Shipboard, 40% travel requirement.Required:
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required);
- Current Network Security Architect experience;
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (5+ years) or similar firewall vendors such as Juniper or Cisco (5+ years);
- Experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, and STP (5+ years);
- Experience leading business projects;
- Experience designing network security in complex environments;
- Experience contributing to the design and implementation of enterprise security strategies and solutions;
- Experience deploying, migrating (including multi-vendor firewalls), automating network security infrastructure, performing proof of concept for security platforms, and conducting gap analysis;
- One of the following certifications: PCNSE, JNCIP-SEC/JNCIE-SEC, CISSP;
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud security, Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, and EVPN VXLAN;
- Experience in the cruise and/or travel industry (1+ year);
- Experience writing comprehensive technical reports, policies, and guidelines that meet industry standards;
- Proficiency in MS Office and creating engaging PowerPoint presentations;
- Certifications such as CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional, Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP-DC), or PCNSA;
- Master’s degree.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise security strategies, architectures, and solutions to protect the company’s network;
- Perform multi-vendor firewall migration, proof of concept for new security products, and network policy design;
- Create network design documentation based on requirements and best practices;
- Build secure, efficient, and scalable network infrastructure that meets organizational needs and standards;
- Act as the highest level of engineering escalation for production issues and provide system support;
- Participate in developing incident response plans and procedures to detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents;
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to evaluate and adopt evolving technologies.
