Senior Strategic Operations Associate, City Performance
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Strategic Operations Associate, City Performance. This is a critical role responsible for guiding the strategy for cities that comprise a meaningful portion of the US business. You will work with a cross functional team to analyze marketplace dynamics, uncover key insights, and develop data-driven strategies to fuel our long-term growth and success across your markets. This role requires a unique blend of analytical horsepower, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management.
What The Candidate Will Do

Drive Marketplace Analysis: Perform and collaborate on comprehensive analysis of supply, demand, and overall market health to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Develop Growth Strategies: Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that shape our long-term market growth plans.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with ops, marketing, product, and finance to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of key initiatives.

Inform Executive Decisions: Prepare and present compelling findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to guide critical business decisions.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in economics, management, finance, or similar field

3 years of experience in operations, strategy, product, growth, or cross-functional program management
Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Data-driven mindset, tied to strong business acumen, to turn insights into action

Comfort navigating ambiguity and building 0-to-1 initiatives

Experience influencing stakeholders, especially Tech, to drive alignment and business objectives

Deep understanding of Uber’s pricing stack

Experience in launching new products or growing adoption in cross-functional environments

SQL experience and working closely with Data Science teams

Customer obsessed, with a deep understanding of what makes a rider and driver experience outstanding, both within and outside of an app.
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year – USD$131,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year – USD$145,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year – USD$145,500 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year – USD$145,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
